One of the best Jet Boating experiences in New Zealand is just down the road at the Thrillseekers Canyon, or perhaps rafting on the Waiau River for a more sedate pace. Quad Bike safaris, horse treks, fishing, golf, even paintball and clay bird shooting are all available, and for those needing just that little more stress in their lives, there is Bungy Jumping from 35 metres(114 feet) above the river, off the Waiau Ferry Bridge!!

A day to Hanmer Springs also gives you the opportunity to visit a few of the local Wineries in the Waipara region, usually by prearrangement, and either on the way TO Hanmer Springs, OR as you return to Christchurch.
